Dear User,

This Photoshop Template allows you update the Links and other heading images very easily in the source file (.PSD).  You also get the HTML version of this template for viewing on the web.  

Modifying the contents in HTML is very simple and for modifying the navigation links and content, you don't require Photoshop Software Knowledge.  Just follow these instructions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
1) NOTES ON HANDLING THE TEMPLATE
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly,
	- Make sure you have Photoshop 7.0 or later version software (free trial available from Adobe)
	- It is recommended to open the PSD source file in version 7.0 and above.
	- Install the attached fonts on your system.
	- Open the "source.psd" source file in Photoshop

Secondly, in Photoshop:
	- For viewing the layers, press 'F7' function key OR Select to 'WINDOW > Layers'
	- For viewing slices, press 'k' on keyboard.
	- For hiding slices, press 'Ctrl+H'
	- All the slices are assigned with their own names, for easy identification.
	- Double click on the slice (by selecting the slice select tool) to view the name of           slice.
	- Do not change the slice name.

2) EDITING THE COMPANY NAME
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- Choose the 'Text Tool' from the Tools panel OR press 'T' on keyboard
- Select the text "YOUR COMPANY NAME HERE" in the PSD file
- Write your own COMPANY NAME
- Press 'Ctrl+Enter' to come out of the edit mode of text tool.

3) EDITING THE TOP BUTTON LINKS (Home, About Us, etc,...)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- Choose the 'Text Tool' from the Tools panel OR press 'T' on keyboard
- Select the text "ABOUT US........." in the PSD file
- Write your own link names
- Press 'Ctrl+Enter' to come out of the edit mode of text tool.
- Adjust the slices to the length of the link names (if required)

4) EXPORTING THE IMAGES/SLICES
--------------------------------------------------------------------
After completion of Editing with your own content,

- Make sure you switch on the Slices by pressing 'k' on keyboard.  If you have already switched on the slices and they are hidden, just press Ctrl+H to 'unhide' slices.

- Make the final adjustments for the slices to align the edited contents.

- Select 'File > Save for Web' and a window pops up with options to save etc,.

- Make sure on the right-side panel, 'Settings: JPEG High' for good quality images.

- Choose "Slice Select Tool" from the Tools Panel (left side of the window)

- Select the edited slices holding the 'Shift key' for multiple selection.

- Click on 'SAVE' (on the right-side panel), a window (Save Optimized As) pops up asking to save the slices/images

- Choose the correct folder path for images

- Make sure you are out of the images folder (not in the images folder), because it will create another images folder.

- Save Optimized As settings :

	File Name	: No need to edit
	Save as type	: Images Only
	Settings	: Default Settings
	Slices		: Selected Slices

- Click on 'save'

- It will prompt you to replace/overwrite the old images.  Just replace them.

5) MOUSEOVER BUTTONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------
After the above editing & cropping is completed,

- In the Layers Panel, go to "Mouseover" layer and switch it on (means...click on the eye symbol on the left-side of that layer).

- Select 'File > Save for Web' and a window pops up with options to save etc,.

- Make sure on the right side panel, 'Settings: JPEG High' for good quality images.

- Choose "Slice Select Tool" from the Tools Panel (left side of the window)

- Select the menu links slices holding the 'Shift key' for multiple selection.

- Click on 'SAVE' (on the rightside panel), a window (Save Optimized As) pops up asking to save the slices/images

- Save the images in a different folder that you have created for your 'mouseovers' on your Desktop or some other location.  And... 

- Save Optimized As settings :

	File Name	: No need to edit
	Save as type	: Images Only
	Settings	: Default Settings
	Slices		: Selected Slices

- Click on 'save'

- The images will be saved with the same slice names as earlier.
- Rename the images with the names given for mouseover images, 

	for ex: For button 1, there are two images,
		1. slice_button1.jpg & (normal image)
		2. slice_button1_m (mouseover image)

- Replace these renamed images in the original "images" folder.

6) REPLACING THE MAN IMAGE FOR YOUR OWN IMAGE

In the PSD source file, right-click on the man image and from the pop-up, select 'man' to open the layers panel. Click on the eye symbol right next to the 'man' layer name.  The image will now be hidden.  Alternatively, you may select the 'man' layer name and click on the trash can icon at the bottom right of the layers panel to delete it.

Next, from the top menu choose 'file > open',  your image (jpg) will appear in separate window of the Photoshop program.

Next step - is to move your image to your web design template PSD window. To do it select move tool from tools panel or use 'V' Hotkey. Then drag and drop image using that tool to your template window of Adobe Photoshop.

Now, you can move that image to the right location using the same tool.  nsure that the image fits within the slice.  You can always crop or resize it in Photoshop.  Add a drop-shadow effect to the image for enhancement.

7) EDITING HTML FILES
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- Make sure you have Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver installed on your system.
- Open the html file and edit the contents and SAVE.
- To create additional pages use the same index.htm page, replace with relevant content and the save it as another page such as 'about-us.htm.
